Our Miracle Baby Girl

This is my Miracle she has Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita and Amyoplasia Congenita. Due to me being so sick for the last 2 years I wasn't supposed to be able to have any more kids. Well what do doctors know. As my husband explains it, I went from dieing to being pregnant. The scary part is that's really what happened. I beat the odds and surprised all my doctors. I then surprised myself with getting pregnant. She was born with a rare disorder. Only 3,000 babies are born with it each year in the United States. We don't know much about it. She has doctor appt.s at Shriner's Hospital and DuPont Hospital. She has Limited range of motion in her shoulder which rotate inward. Her elbows do not bend. Her wrists are flexed towards the forearm. They say with surgeries and physical therapy she will get better use of her arms. After everything our family has been through in the last 2.5 years. She is a blessing. We love her just the way she is. God gave her to us for a reason. Miracles due happen, you just have to have faith.

  1. hello, my daughter is 9 months old now and she too was born with amyoplasia and arthrogryposis. like your daughter, my dughter has limited mobility in just her arms. we are making tremendous progress from where we started with her. we go to OT and PT and see many specialists. i'm wondering if you would mind giving me some advice and insight on what to expect in terms of crawling and walking (as of now she can just sit up but has no means of moving around). anything would be greatly appreciated. thanks so much for your time. hope all is well. you can email me at keriellewilliams@gmail.com. god bless
